What are the
advantages of buying from a local grower?
Locally grown flowers are your freshest and most eco-friendly choice. Our customers get the best price by cutting out the middleman and maximizing the flowers. Flowers that are shipped in cannot compare in beauty or fragrance to flowers that are freshly cut. Local flowers are good for the economy and the environment. This is a rough guide to flower harvest times throughout our season. We also grow lots of herbs , greens, and lavender to enhance our bouquets with a natural touch.

How do your flowers grow?
Our flowers are sustainably grown on a small Orcas Island farm. That means the soil is enriched with cover crops and natural fertilizers rather than harmful chemicals. Flowers are harvested straight from the fields into buckets and sold locally. The result is fresh, long-lasting flowers that are simply beautiful.
Is the farm open to the public?
We are a small working farm and unfortunately do not have the staff or facilities to manage being open to the public at this time.
What are your favorite roses for cutting?
These are my favorites by color:
apricots: Fantasia Mondiale, Carding Mill
yellows: Elina, Sunshine Daydream
red: Grande Amore
fuschias: Marijke Koopman, Princess Alexandra, Grande Dame
whites: Penguin, Charmant, Secret's Out
pink: Mondiale, Francis Meilland, Souvenir de Baden-Baden
How many flowers in a mixed bucket?
Depends on the flowers, we just fill the buckets with what's in bloom. Below are some typical flower buckets.
